Thank you for your patience, and I hope you will excuse my absence these past few months. Before I share more about where my work has taken me, I want to take a moment for something more personal - some life updates, and some thoughts on struggles and resiliency that have shaped the decisions I’ve been making and the way I view my work.
A lot of changes happened all at once, I moved to Canada, changed careers, and navigated losses — in relationships, in family. Just recently, a loved one was involved in an accident. They are doing well now, but the initial couple of days were difficult.
Change is hard for anyone to sit with, and I found myself stretched thin, constantly moving from one thing to the next without room to breathe.
I kept asking myself, this is so difficult, and why do I feel like I’m the only one who is struggling?
After weeks and even months of suffering and reconciliation with myself, I've turned my attention more inward. How can I become a better person, and how can I become a stronger self? I need to seek consolation from within — and I've found that once I feel powerful and grounded enough, the external noise becomes much easier to let pass.
I have accepted that the journey is difficult, and it will remain uncomfortable for as far as I can see. But these challenges are also what have shaped me into who I am today — as everyone does with their own life. I am in it for the ups and downs, and I genuinely look forward to seeing what comes next.
The shop is opening

Something I have been building in the background is almost ready. My official website is launching in June — and with it, a proper home for the work.
You will find originals and prints available to collectors in Canada and the United States. Each piece is prepared by me and shipped with care. More details will be shared closer to launch - but I wanted you to know first.
Recent work

I was captivated by the light filtering through the trees and reflecting off the creek, softened by the water vapor hanging in the air. The atmosphere felt dreamlike — still and undisturbed. I brought some photographs back to the studio and worked up this study. The creek is near Gross Reservoir in Eldorado Springs, CO. This piece will be available in my shop.
It means a great deal to have you here. Stay close - the next newsletter and the shop opening are just around the corner, and I can't wait to share them with you.
Warmly,
Wendy - linghux
